About Me

Monica Hutchinson is currently traveling around private islands and cays in the Bahamas cooking as a private chef for high net worth clients and celebrities. She is also a culinary producer, food stylist, recipe developer and blogger...a Macgyver of sorts for the Bahamas food scene. Some of her past production work includes culinary producer for Top Chef All-Stars finale in the Bahamas, Rescue Chef on Food Network and Simply Southern on CMT. Initially based out of New York, Monica has styled food for television, print and the web for over ten years for the likes of Bobby Flay, Emeril Lagasse, Martha Stewart, Rachel Ray and Stephanie Izard to name a few. Coming up as a chef in the Chicago food scene, Chef Monica had the opportunity to work with Chef Giuseppe Tentori, named best new Chef in 2008 by Food and Wine Magazine, and Executive Chef at Michelin star restaurant, BOKA. Since moving to the Bahamas she opened a highly regarded restaurant introducing the small plate concept to Nassau while elevating traditional Bahamian food. She has also been a successful executive chef consultant to several local restaurants. As a private chef, Chef Monica, not only specializes in vegan, gluten-free and diary-free dishes, she also produces a broad range of culinary delights for her clients.
